Spray Tan F.A.Q.'s
1. How long does a spray tan last?
Typically spray tan will last 5-7 days. Moisturizing and avoiding harsh exfoliating creams and loofahs is key.
2. Can you get a suntan through a spray tan?
Yes, spray tans offer no sun protection. Avoid UV beds and liberally apply sunscreen when outdoors.
3. Will I turn orange after a spray tan?
Bronzz uses the highest quality spray tan solution available. If you prep your skin correctly, follow our aftercare tips, and don't get sprayed too dark for your skin tone you shouldn't ever look orange.
4. Is spray tanning safe?
Yes, spray tanning is the safe alternative to indoor tanning or sunbathing. DHA based sunless tanning has been recommended by the Skin Cancer Organization, American Academy of Dermatology, the American Cancer Society and the American Medical Association.
5. What is DHA?
DHA is the active ingredient on most sunless tanning products. DHA, also known as Dihydroxyacetone is a three carbon sugar derived from sugarcane. When DHA is applied to the skin it causes a chemical reaction with the amino acids in the outermost layer (dead skin cells) to change it's color.
6. Is it safe to spray tan while pregnant?
Bronzz has spray tanned numerous pregnant women at their discretion. As with anything done while pregnant, this should be discussed with your doctor. There are no definite conclusions that spray tan is or isn't safe during pregnancy.
